Depending on what time you eat a snack, it’s possible to determine approximately how long it will keep you going. The trick is to effectively combine carbohydrates, fats and proteins according to what time it is and how hungry you are. Here are a few tips:

Lunch is still a long way off, but I’m hungry now!
Choose a snack that is high in fat, protein and slow carbs. Our new recipes for savoury energy balls made from these three staples promise to be an ideal nourishing snack that will hold you for a few hours.

Cut back on the slow carbs for this one and opt for protein and fast and fatty carbs. Here are two tasty options:

  1. Snack on nuts and dried fruits to keep you going
  2. Eat a few crackers with deli meats and cheese cubes (Our thin sliced Salametti is ideal!)
